Mashal Shahid joined the editorial office of the Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS), Islamabad, in May 2025. Previously, she interned as a contributing writer at the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), a think tank affiliated with Thammasat University, Thailand, and served as a visiting faculty member at the International Islamic University and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. A litterateur and translator, she has translated four Urdu novels into English. She earned her Master’s in English Language and Literature with summa cum laude honours from the International Islamic University, Islamabad. Her interests include geopolitics, literature, and arts.
