SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Must-have
- MS/ MPhil and/or PHD in Defence & Security Studies / International Relations / Political Science from an HEC recognised local or foreign university
- 8-10 years’ experience in research & academia
- Strong analytical and academic writing skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Proven track record of timely completion of assigned tasks
- 5 research papers published in Web of Science and/or HEC recognised journals
- Proficiency in utilising technological tools for research purposes
Preferred
- Background and research interest in Aerospace, Emerging Technologies, Security and Strategic Foresight
- Strong networking with academia and international think tanks
- Ability to communicate regularly & effectively within, and across teams
- Good instincts for translating and distilling complex policy issues into accessible and
compelling information
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of research at CASS through close collaboration with other researchers
- Organise and conduct seminars/workshops/ conferences
- Initiate primary research & surveys for data collection
- Support data collection, literature review and analysis
- Write policy and research papers, academic articles and reports for internal and external and present research findings at international conferences
- Facilitate and advance CASS’s domestic and international outreach program
- Develop new research ideas/ proposals
