Air Commodore Zulfiqar Ali

Air Commodore Zulfiqar Ali is Director Ops & Admin at the Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS), Islamabad. In his 28-year career as a fighter & AWACS pilot of Pakistan Air Force, the Air Commodore Ali flew various top of the line fighter & AEW&C / AWACS aircraft. He is a qualified flying instructor and graduate of Combat Commanders’ School. He has also served in various Command and Staff positions. His command assignments included command of a fighter squadron and PAF base. His appointments at Air Headquarters included Operations & Plans; and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Personnel-Airmen). He holds a Master’s in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Peshawar and MSc War Studies from Air War College, Pakistan. He earned his third Masters in Air War Studies from the National Defense University (Milli Savunma Üniversitesi) in Turkey. He is a recipient of President’s Imtiazi Sanad and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).
