Muhammad Mubashir Ehsan is a graduate of the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom (UK). He holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and Economics. As a researcher, he has worked on different evaluation studies focusing on peace and development across Pakistan. Furthermore, he has designed projects and studies related to financial inclusion and the effects of microfinance on women empowerment. Moreover, he has also worked at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms as Research Fellow, where his focus was the digital economy of Pakistan. He has also contributed to the development of knowledge products, including a start-up toolkit, baseline study for microfinance institutions, advocacy campaigns and qualitative research reports. His areas of interest include the digital economy as a growth driver for developing economies, financial inclusion, and service delivery in developing countries. Mubashir is also a social entrepreneur and co-founded a startup in the UK which aimed at providing skill development opportunities to youth.
